I spent most of my time at home during the flood. It wasn't easy to go anywhere because most of the roads were closed. I remember being with dad to go shopping. We had to go all the way to Sørumsand. I watched a lot of TV during the flood. It was terrible to see all the houses that were destroyed and all the people who had to move. When we went down to Fetsund we saw a lot a ramparts and a lot of military men who worked all day long. Someone who works with my mom got water in their basement. There was a lot of furniture in Fethallen. There was a lot furniture at school too. One day we went for a drive to see the flood, we saw a lot of houses with flooded yards. They had nailed shut their windows. We saw some people who were rowing in their yards. We should have filmed a lot during the flood. But everytime we were going to film it started to rain. The signs were under water so now you can see how high the water was. There was very dirty water everywhere and there were swans in the water. We had to buy a lot of food and milk when we wnet shopping in case they decided to close the roads. Being as it was June we were at Nebbursvollen in Lillestrøm a lot. We saw a lot of cracks in the streets and sandbags over them. There were ramparts that were built quite high. But now they are just laying there.
Warm greetings Cathrine
