Fetsund 18.9.95

Hi!

In my municipality and in many others there has been a flood. In downtown Fetsund the roads were closed because of the flood. Those who were hardest hit live at Øya. Øya is a place near Lense-museum. Lense-museum was also hit. Lense-museum was built because there was logging on the Glomma. The museum has shown everyone who visited it. There is no doubt that logging was an important industry for the inhabitants. During the flood the whole Lense area was under water. Because of the flood the sanitary system could not be used, so when we went to the bathroom the pieces of crap went right out into the Glomma. Randi, my teacher, lives in Falldalen, where there was a lot of water. RIMI is a store in downtown Fetsund where the whole basement was filled with water. In the Posthus the whole basement was stopped up so that some people were afraod that it would float. SPAR was filled with water, there were damages for several hundred thousand crowns. The railroad was flooded too so the train from Eidsvoll couldn't go. I live high up on a hill so I didn't experience the flood. I only saw it a little on TV and for real.

Greetings Arild
