The then head municipal librarian Dagny Juvkam saw an array of
possibilities for the library in having local historical sources
stored in databases available to the public. In addition to this
she saw the in this project the possibility that the library could
one day serve as an information Technology Resource Centre. She
therefore presented, together with LHRC, these plans to the National
Library Board which in the space of three years approved funds
for machines, software, registration of additional sources and
the education of personnel. All data that is registered at LHRC
is transferred to Fet library and the user group is increasing
steadily.
