The local history archive contains about 400 units. These include books, articles, maps, pictures, illustrations, educational material and copies of primary sources. The archive is to be found both at Oestersund jr. high school and Fet library.
The Fet department of culture and local bank supported the purchase of file cabinets and display cases. In this way material was systematised and secured. In order to announce the availability of the material we displayed it in city hall and in two banks.
The archival system was built with the help of Fet library, the National
Library Management dept., the university library and NAVF's computer department
for the humanities.
