According to Eiríc's Saga, Leif sailed off course on the return voyage from Norway and landed on the North American continent at a region he called Vinland. Most experts, however, find The Saga of the Greenlanders (Grønlendinge Saga) more reliable and this is the version of the discovery of Vinland used in our pages.
